Obituary

Ann Lee (Cochran) McElroy, age 92 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away September 4, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 11, 2026 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel of Konawa. Roger Lee and Scott Duck will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Casket bearers are Tim Duck, Mark Duck, Scott Duck, Jacob Vogt, Jonathan Lee, and Daniel Emerson.

Ann was born July 11, 1934 in Winfield, Kansas to Jasper Cochran and Lois Lee (Ballinger) Brown. She became a Medical Transcriptionist and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church of Norman, Oklahoma. She had also been a Boy Scout Den Mother, and a Konawa Band Booster President. She enjoyed volunteering at nursing homes and playing keyboard for church services. Ann loved music and played the piano and cello, and she sang in various choirs. But most importantly, she was a prayer warrior.

She is survived by a son, Milton Wayne Vogt, Jr. and fiancé Kathy Stotts of Wilburton, Oklahoma; two daughters, Lee Ann Duck and husband, Gary of Konawa, and Lisa Kay Lee and husband, Roger of Wellington, Kansas; four sisters-in-law, Mary Cochran of Prineville, Oregon, Peggy Cochran of Wichita Falls, Texas, Mary Peach of Columbus, Nebraska, and Debra McElroy of Konawa; grandchildren, Tim and Chrissy Duck of Konawa, Mark and Jenni Duck of Konawa, Scott and Courtney Duck of Konawa, Jacob and Melissa Vogt of Chicago, Illinois, Sarah Lee of Wellington, Kansas, Abigail and Julia Leary of Chicago, Illinois, Jonathan Lee of Chicago, Illinois, Rachel and Daniel Emerson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Special Friend, Sherry Merrick, Cody and Taylyn; and eleven great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Milton Vogt and Melvin McElroy; daughter, Lynda Foster; son-in-law, Daniel Foster; two brothers, Marvin Cochran and Norman Cochran; and great grandson, Levi Scott Duck.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Konawa Senior Citizens Organization.
