Amy Beth (Siler) Self

Amy Beth Self, 55 years old, passed from this life Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Pauls Valley Hospital. She was born November 17, 1966, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to her biological mother, Anita Hinkle and adopted by parents Ronald Eugene and Lois Lee (O’Donnell) Siler.

Amy graduated from Seminole High School in 1984. She went on to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Social Services at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. Following her degree, she gained employment at the Department of Human Services in Wewoka, Oklahoma as a Child Welfare Specialist and advocated for children many times in her career.

Amy was a very caring and loyal mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt and friend who enjoyed helping others. She enjoyed planning birthday parties for her son and nephews and spending a lot of time with them. Her caregiving abilities shined when caring for her grandmother and other family members. She also enjoyed calligraphy art, crafting, sewing, planting and growing vegetables and flowers.

Survivors include son, Jared Self of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jared’s father Charles Self of Seminole, Oklahoma, father and mother, Ronald and Lois Siler of Ada, Oklahoma, sister and brother-in-law, Christy and Steve Murray of Byng, Oklahoma, and nephew, Gage Underwood of Ada, Oklahoma.

Amy is preceded in death by her grandparents, Cecil and Ethel Siler and Dennis and Elizabeth O’Donnell, and cousin, Scott Burnett.

After cremation, Amy’s remains will be interred at Wolf Cemetery in Wolf, Oklahoma.
