Alline “Freddie” Patsy Tanyan-Billie, Shawnee resident,  passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023, in Oklahoma City at the age of 76.  Freddie was born on November 8, 1946 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Wesley Tanyan and Susie (Ross) Tanyan.

Freddie married Thomas Lee Billie Jr. on September 21, 1991 at Snake Creek Baptist Church #2 in Seminole, Oklahoma.  She loved the Sooners and Thunder.  She would joke about her new shirts and how she would leave the price tag on just in case they lost.  Freddie was also a member of the Seminole Nation Tribe.  Her band was Ceyvha and she was Sweet Potato Clan.  Freddie was also a member of Snake Creek Church #2.

Freddie attended Carter Seminary and Chilocco Indian School.  She retired from FAA after 28 years of service “her dream job”.  Freddie was afraid of heights but learned to fly in an airplane.  While working for the FAA she created many forms they used for years.  She was also featured in training videos for new employees and those videos are still used today. She was also proud of the fact that the FAA utilized many of her suggestions and she was also compensated for them. Freddie pioneered the change in the dress code for women who worked there so they could wear dress jeans and nice blouses instead of skirts.  She loved to attend her grandchildren’s sporting events when she could.  She loved to sew and collected Beanie Babies.  Freddie loved the Lord and taught her children and grandchildren about the love of God.  She always kissed and hugged her family and told them how much she loved them.  She was also supportive of all of her children and grandchildren and was so proud of each of them.  Freddie loved to take trips with her husband on his Harley.  She was also a member of the Oklahoma Indian Bikers Club for which she loved to ride in parades.

Freddie is survived by her husband, Thomas Billie Jr. of Shawnee; two sons, Ron Tanyan and wife, Jill of Fort Gibson, OK and Thomas Billie III and wife, Donna of West Chapel, FL; four daughters,  Robin Reeves of Tecumseh, OK, Ericka Harjo of Shawnee, OK, Kimberly Hill of Earlsboro, OK and Thomasine Frye and husband, Michael of Tulsa, OK; adopted daughter, Sheila Hooper of Maud, OK; sister, Irene Tanyan Harjo of Earlsboro; six, brothers-in-law, Lester Billie of Seminole, Jimmy Wise of Derby, KS, Danny Billie of Edmond, Dennis Billie of Seminole, Keith Wayne Billie and wife, Renee of Konawa and James Billie of Seminole; five sisters-in-law, Wanda Coody and husband, R B of Konawa, Lisa Billie of Seminole, Becky Pemberton and husband, Rick of Maud, Audrey Davis of Seminole and Andrea Davis of Seminole; aunt, Elsie (Ross) Spencer of Seminole; 24 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and many other family and friends.
