Allen Lee Rowell

Allen Lee Rowell, age 57 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on August 19, 2014 at his home. A memorial service is planned for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Vamoosa Baptist Church.  Ed George will officiate.  Viewing is scheduled for Thursday, August 21st from 8:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa. Allen was born on November 19, 1956 in Oklahoma City.  He was a graduate of Wewoka High School, and he attended college.  He married Nyetta Lynn Douglas on his birthday, November 19, 1977 in Wewoka, Oklahoma.  Allen was a member of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the National Guard.  He was the Water Supervisor for the City of Konawa. He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife, Nyetta Rowell of the home; one daughter, Keisha Rowell of the home; one son, Jerry Rowell and wife, Julia of Konawa; one sister, Pam Powell and husband, John of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Kirkland and Wilma Jean (Hall) Kirkland; and one sister, Vicky Rowell.
