Ada Mae Ferguson, Okemah, OK resident, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 in Seminole at the age of 84. Ada Mae was born on April 26, 1941 in Seminole to John Wesley and Dorothy Patricia (Lewis) Quinalty. She married Hubert Harold Ferguson on February 26, 1960. Hubert went to be with the Lord on May 5, 2024.
Ada Mae enjoyed sewing, cooking and decorating cakes, playing piano. She found joy in living on and working on the farm. She loved taking care of her grandkids. Ada Mae made all three of her daughters’ wedding dresses and wedding cakes.
Ada Mae is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Ted Hurt of Seminole and Janie and Richard King of Okemah; three brothers, Steve Quinalty, Stan Quinalty and Mark Quinalty; sister, Birdie Morgan; seven grandchildren Brandi Tigner, Kris Jackson, Emily Anderson, Katie Jackson, Steven Jackson, Dakota Hurt and Cheyenne Hurt; four great grandchildren Ella Anderson, Tessa Anderson, Emmitt Jackson and Phoebe Hurt and many other family and friends.
Ada Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Ferguson; daughter, Patty Jackson; son, Junior Ferguson; mother, Dorothy Quinalty; father, John Quinalty; four sisters and one brother.
Those serving as casket bearers will be Kris Jackson, Steven Jackson, Dakota Hurt, Cheyenne Hurt, Richard King and Ted Hurt.
Viewing will be Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Bowlegs Assembly of God Church with Rev. Willie Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery.
