Morris "Ray" Starker

Morris "Ray" Starker , age 81 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away February 13, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

A Memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Grace Community Church located at 217 N. Broadway in Konawa, Oklahoma under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Rev. Drew Isaacs will officiate.

Ray was born December 27, 1942 in Santa Ana, California to Raymond Starker and Lova May (Brown) Starker.  He received a G.E.D. and he proudly served in the U. S. Navy from July, 1960 until May, 1963.  He married Judith Kay "Judy" Sweeney July 10, 1974 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  He was a member of Grace Community Church, and he loved the church and his church family.  He was the owner and operator of his own truck, and he loved his truck driving job. Ray loved to spoil his grandchildren tremendously, and golf was a true joy in his life.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Starker of the home; three sons, Gary Keith Holly of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mark Holly of Rogers, Arkansas, and Randall Holly of Konawa, Oklahoma; two daughters, Angela Starker of Denver, Colorado, and Kristie Moody and husband, Jeremy of Ada, Oklahoma; one sister, Susan Horton of Yuma, Arizona; nineteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lova and Raymond Starker; two brothers, Merril and Donald; one sister, Yolanda; one granddaughter, Willa, and one grandson, Alex.
