Jason Leroy Mitchell, lifelong Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed away at the age of 52 on February 21, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born in Seminole on April 22, 1971 to Leroy and Debora Ann Mitchell. Jason grew up in Seminole, loved playing football and hanging out with his buddies Mo, Jeff, Bart & Byrd. He graduated from Seminole High School in 1989.
Jason was employed by Oklahoma City Public Schools and worked as a mechanical journeyman. He enjoyed watching his boys play football and watching OU football.
Left to cherish Jason’s memory are his mother; Debbie Mitchell, his sons; Garison Carrell, Jaden Mitchell and his fiance’ Ava Reber and Jace Mitchell, his sisters; Jessica Mitchell and Jennifer Lofton, nieces and nephews; Courtney, Whitney, and Kale Harper, Jess, Amanda and Alyssa Welt, Ryan, Khya and Keaton Mitchell and Kolby, Lindsey, Roxy and Jenna Lofton and great nieces and nephews; Braxxtyn, Koe, Kyler and Hunter. He was preceded in death by his father; Leroy Mitchell, his grandmother; Dola Marshall, niece; Taylor Lofton and nephew; Hunter Still.
Viewing and Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, February 24 and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, February 25 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
The funeral service for Jason will be at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Brett Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
