Thomas Hansen, 60
August 6, 1948 - June 21, 2009

Thomas William Hansen, 60 year-old, Seminole resident passed from this life Sunday, June 21, 2009 at his home in Seminole.  He was born August 6, 1948 in Wasco County, Oregon to parents Henry L. Hansen and Amy (Jones) Hansen.

Following High School Hansen served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  He later married Linda Faye (Mayes) Hansen on December 23, 1988 in Rio Linda, California.  They moved to Seminole six years ago from Rockland, California.

Hansen had worked as a construction contractor and had also worked for White’s Building and Lumber in Seminole.  He was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church of God in Seminole.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Linda Hansen of the home; four sons which includes one son, Brian Kalley Mayes Hansen of Seminole, Oklahoma; five daughters; one brother, Larry Hansen of California and one sister of California; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of other family and dear friends.

Hansen is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Tamberlyn Sue Russell and by one great-granddaughter, Tamberlyn Brianne Wheeler.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 23, 2009 and Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. each evening.

A Celebration of Mr. Hansen’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church of God located on Hwy 9 across from the Oil Museum in Seminole.  Chaplain Karen McCullar will officiate the service.  The United States Army will provide Military Honors.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home – Seminole, Oklahoma.
