Clifton Ruminer, 79
November 18, 1939 - April 16, 2019

Clifton “Cliff” Ray Ruminer, lifelong Seminole, Oklahoma resident, was called home to our Lord on April 16, 2019 at the age of 79. Cliff was born on November 18, 1939 in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Cliff married his sweetheart and soulmate Marge Bertram on June 22, 1959 in Seminole. He considered his children, Robbie, Jeff and Tina to be his greatest accomplishment in life.  Cliff worked for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol as a weight and permits inspector until his retirement. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.

Cliff was a perfectionist who mastered everything he set his mind to. He was an incredible, self-taught musician who loved the guitar (particularly a Stratocaster), a lover of all cats, a meticulous artist, author, fisherman and adventurist! One of the highlights of Cliff’s life was playing guitar for Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard, Porter Wagoner and numerous others. He loved spending time with his family and friends, playing music, drinking a “cold beer”, watching Oklahoma Sooner football and solving the world’s most difficult crossword puzzles.  He was and will always be, OUR HERO!

Cliff is survived by his wife Marge Ruminer of the home, his daughter Tina King and her husband JJ of Utila, Honduras, sons; Jeff Ruminer and his wife Kelly of Edmond, Oklahoma and Robbie Ruminer and his wife Cindy of Durant, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Kooper Ruminer, Brock Ruminer, Kelsey Ruminer, Lauren Ruminer, Conner Ruminer and Blake Lundry and great-grandson Lincoln Goss. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wes and Lucille (Ruminer) Younger and his grandparents, Pete and Viola Ruminer.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.

Cremations arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
